چکیده

Abstract The study investigates changes in the mechanical, thermal, morphological and physical properties of recycled low density polyethylene (LDPE) composites made with percentages (10 wt%, 20 30 wt.%) old newspaper fiber (ONF) waste engine oil (WEO) (1 wt.%). were manufactured by a single screw extruder. Adding WEO up to wt% ONF had positive effect on flexural properties, while incorporation 10 wt % showed an affirmative tensile composites. highest strength was achieved A3 (13.19 MPa) B3 (12.3 samples for added ONF/WEO composites, respectively. decreased water absorption values Differential scanning calorimetry analysis that addition 1% WEO, crystallinity about 30%. In light results, could be successfully used matrix. Highlights sample (with WEO). obtained from (without

Catalytic conversion of waste low density polyethylene into fuel oil

Waste Low density polyethylenes (LDPE) represent a source of energy and valuablechemicals, were pyrolysed catalytically in a batch reactor under atmospheric pressure. Calciumcarbide was used as a catalyst to explore its effect on pyrolysis product distribution. The effect oftemperature, amount of catalyst and time on the yields of the pyrolysed products wasinvestigated. The effect of catalyst o...

Morphology and properties of microfibrillar composites based on recycled poly (ethylene terephthalate) and high density polyethylene

Microfibrillar composites (MFCs) from recycled high density polyethylene (R-HDPE)/recycled poly (ethylene terephthalate) (R-PET) (75/25 w/w) were made through reactive extrusion and post-extrusion strand stretching. The resultant MFCs could be processed at HDPE processing temperature. The compatibility between microfibers and R-HDPE matrix was improved through compatibilizers. Of the three comp...

Characterization of Biochar Obtained by Co-Pyrolysis of Waste Newspaper with High-Density Polyethylene

The pyrolysis of waste newspaper (WP) and co-pyrolysis of waste newspaper with high-density polyethylene (HDPE) (1:1 wt%) were carried out in a quartz tube at 500 °C to obtain biochars. The biochars were characterized in detail by X-ray diffraction (XRD), thermogravimetric analysis (TG), Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR), X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), elemental analysis,...
